Razstavišče Monfort







The historic salt storehouse Monfort Exhibition Space situated between Portorož-Portorose and Piran-Pirano, is a magnificent exhibition space on the sea front. It was built in the time of Napoleon between 1820 and 1845.

Part of the building is managed by the the Obalne galerije - Coastal Galleries network, Piran City Gallery and serves as a contemporary art space with approximately 4 exhibitions annually.

Since 2011 Monfort houses also the collection of traditional shipbuilding and the development of water sports, managed by the Sergej Mašera Maritime Museum, Piran.

In 2015 a small-scale Museum of Tourism was set in Monfort.
