ČrnFest was organised for the first time in 2008, it is called "the festival of good music, theater, sports, laughter and children's cheering". It takes place in the old town center of Črnomelj and the atrium of the abandoned castle.

ČrnFest is organized by three youth organizations - Bela krajina Students Club (Klub belokranjskih študentov (KBŠ), Bela krajina Youth Cultural Club (MKK Črnomelj) and MC Bit, in cooperation with the Črnomelj Municipality, ZIK Črnomelj and Črnomelj Library.
