FranceParisMême Si"How long can a branch bow before it breaks?" is a sound installation by Ida Hiršenfelder and Hugo Lioret, composed from field recordings made in the Hambach Forest in the Rhineland. Ravaged by lignite mining, the forest becomes both subject and witness in this work, capturing the tension between its biodiversity and the destruction wrought by industrial exploitation — a poignant reflection on devastation and resilience.
