Ljubljana Puppet Theatre presents "A Mouse Called Julian" at the 59th International Puppet Theatre Festival (PIF) in Zagreb. Directed by Asja Kahrimanović, the performance explores friendship, relationships and the courage to overcome fear.
The festival features Slovenia as its Guest Country, showcasing eight Slovenian films and presentations of Slovenian alpine culture. Slovenian participants include pianist Bowrain, who performs at the Opening Ceremony and "The Night of Julian Alps – Slovenia", renowned alpinist Silvo Karo and film directors Petra Seliškar and Maja Prettner.
Slovenian-Czech co-production "The Animal Remains" (Žival, ki ostane), directed by Ivana Vogrinc Vidali, is selected for the competition programme of the Vancouver International Film Festival (VIFF), one of North America's leading film festivals.
