Predjama Castle

One of the most picturesque castles in Slovenia, Predjama Castle is built into an overhanging rock in front of a karst cave hall that is connected with a cave system underneath the castle. It is situated just a a few kilometres from the entrance to the Postojna Cave. The castle is now a museum on five floors that shows the life in the 16th century, with an armoury, dungeon, halls, living quarters and other castle facilities. Interesting is the dialogue between man-made architecture and natural structures that combine into the castle's fortification system.

International Centre of Graphic Arts, Ljubljana

The International Centre of Graphic Arts (MGLC) is located in Tivoli Mansion, Ljubljana.

Established in 1986, the International Centre of Graphic Arts (MGLC) is housed in Tivoli Mansion. It runs the Biennial of Graphic Arts, maintains an international collection of prints and artists' books, and organises personal and thematic contemporary art exhibitions, often reflecting the political or social atmospheres of the chosen periods.

Founded in 1955, the Ljubljana Biennial of Graphic Arts is the world's oldest existing biennial exhibition of contemporary graphic arts. MGLC is among the founding members of the International Biennial Association (IBA), established in 2014. As of 2017, MGLC also runs the Švicarija Art Centre, a nearby residency and exhibition venue, also located in Tivoli Park.

The Grossmann Fantastic Film and Wine Festival is a specialised competitive festival focusing on contemporary genre film production, mostly on those of horror and fantasy films. It was launched in 2005 on the 100th anniversary of Slovene cinema and is dedicated to Dr. Karol Grossmann (1864–1929), the pioneer of Slovene cinema who made the first film shots in 1905. The Festival takes place annually in July in different locations in the city of Ljutomer and was named one of the "30 Bloody Best Genre Fests in the World", according to MovieMaker Magazine. The call for eligible films is usually open from January till May. The 2020 edition is held in Ormož (10-12.7.), then in Ljutomer (14-18.7.).

Sports Park Stožice

The Sports Park Stožice is the largest commercial entertainment venue in Slovenia, designed by Sadar-Vuga Arhitekti and built in 2010. The complex on the outskirts of Ljubljana comprises Stožice Stadium and Arena Stožice hall as well as a shopping centre.

Arena Stožice

The Arena Stožice multi-purpose hall can host 12,480 sports fans or 14,480 visitors for concerts or other performing arts events. The hall that covers 14,164 m2 is intended for indoor sports and is home to various national sports teams such as KK Olimpija, RK Mercator Krim, ACH Volley Bled. In the lower parts of the Stožice Hall there is also a smaller warm-up hall and a climbing center. The first concerts in the Arena Stožice were given by José Carreras, Leonard Cohen, Joe Cocker, Budapest Gypsy Symphony Orchestra, in 2011 by Zucchero, The Chemical Brothers and Sting, the latter within the concert tour Symphonicity, which was in Ljubljana accompanied by the Slovene Philharmonic Orchestra, conducted by Sarah Hicks.

Stožice Stadium

The Stožice Stadium, however, can hold 16,038 spectators for sports events and 23,000 for music concerts. The total area of ​​the stadium is 24,614 m2. Stožice Stadium is also the home stadium of the NK Olimpija football club and the Slovenian national football team. The first music event at the Stadium Stožice was performed by Siddharta in June 2011.

Španski borci Culture Centre

Španski borci Culture Centre re-opened in November 2009 in the Ljubljana-Moste neighbourhood of the city. Run by En-Knap Productions, the centre represents the largest facility intended for cultural activities in Slovenia managed by a non-governmental organisation. Providing a much-needed performing space in Ljubljana as well as two rehearsal spaces, the centre's programme focuses on stage arts, however, it also cover the areas of music, visual arts, literature, and offers a children's programme. The centre also includes a reading room, mediatheque, coffee shop and gallery.

As the permanent residence of the EnKnapGroup (EKG) and one of the venues of the Gibanica (Moving Cake) Festival of Slovene Dance, the Španski borci Culture Centre has been slated since June 2011 to become the seat of the new Centre of Contemporary Dance, according to the agreement signed by the Ministry of Culture and the Municipality of Ljubljana.

Established in 1970, Glej Theatre is the oldest independent performing arts venue in Ljubljana. An important theatre production and education institution, Glej has been striving to explore theatrical practices in novel and daring ways ever since its early days. The National Gallery of Slovenia (Narodna galerija) is the main art museum in Slovenia that holds the country's largest fine art collection from the late medieval period up to the early twentieth century. It was founded as early as 1918 as the National Gallery Society with the aim of establishing a museum for Slovenian fine arts. First housed in the Kresija Palace, the Gallery relocated to the Narodni dom palace in 1926.

A completely reorganised and expanded permanent exhibition of the collections returned to public view in January 2016, following an extensive renovation of the Narodni dom palace.
